Owned by the City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ), the Eaglecrest Ski Area charges user fees and receives funds from CBJ for basic operating costs. The Eaglecrest Foundation strives to augment these funds for two specific purposes:
1. To allow access to the ski area for deserving youth who cannot afford to ski and snowboard.
2. To fund additional projects not subsidized by the CBJ. Often, there is a need for other capital improvements that cannot be financed by the CBJ due to limited resources. Eaglecrest Foundation seeks to support these advancements through community involvement and donations.

Do you remember the original center pole chairs on the Black Bear chairlift? Wouldn't you love to be lounging in one in the glorious Juneau sunshine? Maybe on your front porch... or your backyard or possibly by the front door of your business?
You are in luck! The Eaglecrest Foundation is selling retired Black Bear chairs to the public. All proceeds go directly to the Eaglecrest Foundation. Purchasers have the option to earmark their contribution for specific programs such as the Books2Boards. This program provides approximately 100 selected Juneau middle school kids with free skiing/riding on non-school days and a weekly after-school mentorship program during the winter season.
